Calling all Asian-Canadian law students! FACL BC is pleased to bring back mock interviews for its student members. This online mock interview event will provide student members the opportunity to further prepare for OCIs and receive interview feedback in a friendly setting.

This event will begin with a panel discussion providing tips for OCI success. Students will then have the opportunity to implement what they have just learned in a mock interview with legal practitioners from diverse fields of the law.

The event will begin with the panel discussion at 5:30pm on Wednesday, September 4 (with interviews following immediately afterwards), and additional interviews will begin at 5:30pm on Thursday, September 5.

Our featured panelists are:

1. Brian Y.K. Cheng (Shareholder and Co-Chair of Associates and Articling Committee, Owen Bird Law Corporation)

2. Natasha Liu (Associate, DLA Piper)

3. Diana Wang (Associate, McCarthy Tetrault)

Students will be registered for interview slots on Wednesday, September 4, and once all slots on September 4 are full, remaining students will be assigned to Thursday, September 5.

Each interview will last for 15 minutes with 15 minutes for feedback, and there will be one interview per student. There is a possibility that students will be able to have two rounds of mock interviews, and if this is the case, a lottery system will be used to choose those students. Preference will be given to second year students.

Students have until August 26, 5pm to register.
