About
The purpose of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (British Columbia) Society (FACL BC) Journal, now renamed Silk Threads: The Journal of Asian-Canadian Legal Perspectives ("Silk Threads" or the "Journal") is to provide a space for contributors and readers to engage with and share content about the legal issues and topics relevant to the pan-Asian Canadian community in British Columbia. The new name was selected through a blind naming contest held during the Inaugural Edition Journal Launch Party in April 2025, and we're thrilled to share that the winning submission was created by Shermaine Chua, one of our dedicated volunteers on the Journal Marketing Team.
We are grateful for the generous support of the Law Foundation of British Columbia, which has made this publication possible.
