Event Description:
At the FACL BC NCA/LLM Committee, we understand the various struggles that NCA/ LLM CL candidates face in the articling recruitment process. Compared to Canadian law school graduates, who might otherwise have more Canadian work experience, more access and opportunities to networking and career opportunities such as structured recruits, NCA and LLM CL candidates often need to rely on other methods to secure articling positions.
We are grateful to be joined by Jennifer Lau, current Graduate advisor at UBC’s Allard School of Law, Karen Joy Bation (NCA), founder and lawyer at KJB Law, and Amal Qattan (LLM CL), articling student at Lesperance Mendes Lawyers, to hear about their experiences and advice on job searching strategies, securing articles, and sharing their unique experiences.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm and connect with us on Zoom for an insightful session.
