FACL BC Hometown Eats Series is back! This Series invites members to network over plates of delicious food prepared by our favourite local restaurants. Each event of this Series will highlight a particular kind of Asian cuisine and will be hosted by members of our FACL BC board.
Our next FACL BC Hometown Eats event will bring you a taste of Iranian cuisine at Gilaneh GrillHouse (North Vancouver) on Friday, March 7 at 6:30 pm — just in time to gather ahead of Norouz, the Persian New Year, later in March!

Date & Time: Friday, March 7, 2025 | Time: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Guests will enjoy an authentic Iranian dining experience featuring a carefully curated selection of must-try dishes. The cost is $37.00 per person, including tax and gratuity. Vegetarian options are available.
Regular Menu:
Crispy Rice (Tahdig) with Classic Iranian Stew
Eggplant Dish (Mirza Ghasemi) - dip consisting of grilled eggplant cooked tomato sauce and eggs
Koobideh Kabab - fresh ground beef mixed with onions and seasoned with saffron
Chicken Kabab - marinated boneless chicken
Lamb Shank and Dill Rice (Baghali Polo ba Mahicheh) - lamb shank and rice steamed with fava beans and dill
Saffron Ice Cream
Vegetarian Menu:
Eggplant Dish (Mirza Ghasemi) - dip consisting of grilled eggplant cooked with tomato sauce and eggs
Eggplant Dish (Kashk Bademjoon) - dip consisting of eggplants cooked with onions and yogurt whey
Vegetarian Kabab - grilled zucchini, eggplant, onion, and green pepper
Ash Reshteh - thick style of soup combining a variety of beans, grains, and noodles
Feel free to explore additional food and drinks beyond our selection; however, these delightful extras will be at your own expense.
