October 2026 Spotlight: Sandy Lun-Harms

1. What is your name?

Sandy Lun-Harms

2. Current place of work/title?

Associate at Farris LLP

3. How did you first get involved with FACL BC?

I was first introduced to FACL BC by my very good friend and former president, Fiona Wong. In 2019, I was elected as the student director (TRU Law representative) and then subsequently served another three years on the FACL BC board of directors.

4. What has been your favourite FACL event or initiative so far?

I’ve really enjoyed FACL BC’s Hometown Eats series, which brings together the community in a meaningful way. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support local pan-Asian restaurants while fostering connections among students, lawyers, and members of the judiciary in an intimate and welcoming setting.

5. What advice would you give yourself if you were to go back in time?

To this day, I remind myself that every journey is unique, and true success lies in having the courage to define what it means to you and the perseverance to pursue it on your own terms.

6. What is something that not many people know about you?

I was stranded by a mudslide that washed out the only bridge crossing, leaving me to camp in the Sahara Desert for a week without internet service, but on the bright side, the stargazing was unforgettable!
